Mike Santana made his return to our screens on the August 23 episode of AEW Dynamite heading straight into a match at All In.
The return of Santana and Ortiz would set them up for inclusion in the Stadium Stampede match on the Sunday 27 August pay-per-view.
At Wembley Stadium, Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta), and Orange Cassidy (with Alex Abrahantes) would defeat the team of Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta & Jon Moxley), Mike Santana, and Ortiz.
Santana has posted a message of reflection about recent events on social media, writing:
“What a week it’s been. Everything has happened so fast, like it usually does and I’m still here processing things.
“One thing I’ve learned throughout my recovery journey is being/taking in every moment and living in it.
“For so long, I was just on autopilot and going from one moment to the next without truly grasping the magnitude of anything.
“Today, I can say those days are over. Every day I’m constantly reminded how blessed I am to live this life.
“Through all this, my father has been my guiding light and guardian Angel. He’s popped up in every moment that I’ve had. He’d be so damn proud of where I am today, how I’ve handled certain situations, and what I have and yet to accomplish.
Thank you all for your continued support. I look forward to having you take the ride on this journey with me.

Fightful reported during All In that despite being the same match and even the same team, the real life issues between Santana and Ortiz (and Kingston) had not been resolved – click here for more on that.
