AEW
An AEW name has revealed that they are going to be partnering with other promotions, sharing creative insight and more.
Mikey Rukus serves as the music producer for AEW and has recently revealed his plan to share his expertise with independent wrestling promotions.
Rukus revealed plans to take his skills to other companies in a post on Twitter.
Announcing his mentoring project, Rukus wrote:
“When I first started this music thing in 2010, it was completely from scratch. I networked and hustled my ass off, getting music featured in the UFC, NBC Sports and more.
“When I jumped over to wrestling in 2015, I started from scratch again. No one showed me what to do or how to navigate. I just hustled for survival and the hopes of something bigger. That groundwork put me in a position to seize the opportunity that was afforded to me in 2019.
“Now, I want to show a select few, everything I’ve learned.
“In the next few months, I will be partnering with select indie promotions, as well as a few up-and-coming producers no one has heard of who want to learn.
“I will walk them through the process from A-Z. They will understand and execute creating entrance music from the pitch phase, to closing, to production and delivery.
“In the same vein that these producers will learn, young wrestlers will learn about the process as well, and hopefully aid them in discovering their own identities.
“This is my way of giving back to the business that I have been so honored to be a part of.”
Rukus composed the theme for AEW Collision that saw its debut earlier this year, having also created ‘Red Light Is On (Let’s Go)’ with Omega Spar for the Saturday night show.
Following Tommaso Ciampa’s AEW debut, the former WWE star revealed that his theme came together in just forty-eight hours thanks to Rukus.
The composer behind a number of themes used by AEW stars, Rukus recently commented on Danhausen’s WWE theme.
