AEW Star Signs Long-Term Contract Extension AEW

An AEW star has confirmed that they have signed a new contract extension that will keep them with the company for the foreseeable future.

MVP made his AEW debut in September of last year at Grand Slam, having parted ways with WWE following his contract expiring the previous month.

Currently associated with The Hurt Syndicate, MVP has now revealed that he has signed an extension that will keep him under contract for “quite a while”.

MVP revealed the new extension in an interview with Adventure Gamers, noting he will continue to work in his “current capacity and hopefully beyond”, saying:

“I do want to say this. I want to say thank you to Tony Khan, because recently I signed an extension and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes.

“I’m very happy where I’m at right now in my career at this stage to be able to continue to contribute to the business and make money with my friends and entertain at the level that we’re still able to maintain.

“I appreciate Tony Khan for giving me, Bobby (Lashley) and Shelton (Benjamin) an opportunity to get the team back together for a final run and the future looks bright.”

With MVP serving as a manager in The Hurt Syndicate, he would be asked about potentially having a singles match against Kyle Fletcher, a star that he describes as having a “bright future”, responding:

“I’d like to try, but I don’t know if I can keep up with the kid! I’d have to take him down to slow him down. If you think you’re going too slow, slow down”.

MVP has been in action recently, teaming with the Hurt Syndicate in a losing effort against The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) in a losing effort for the AEW World Trios Championship.

He has previously confirmed that he has yet to have his last match, but promised that he would “go out on (his) back“.
