AEW Star Asks NJPW’s Will Ospreay To ‘Break The Rules’ And Face Him

AEW Star Asks NJPW’s Will Ospreay To ‘Break The Rules’ And Face Him AEW

Will Ospreay has now responded to Andrade El Idolo, following the AEW star challenging the NJPW name to meet him face to face.

Andrade, who has been out of action for months recovering from a torn pectoral muscle injury, recently took to Twitter to share a video featuring key moments from his recovery.

Will Ospreay replied to the video, encouraging Andrade:

Yes bruv!

Andrade shared Will’s reply, wanting to get down to business. Still hoping for a match against the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Andrade tweeted:

Amigo break the rules, it’s time to meet face to face!!! @WillOspreay la vida es corta (life is short)

Believing that they will share the ring together one day, Ospreay replied:

Acting like it’s my call bruv 😂

You & I know if it was up to me I’d meet you anywhere and tear the house down with ya.

Real talk. It will happen, promise ya.

Get healthy my man, I’ll do the same & I’ll see ya soon 👑

Ahead of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door crossover event in June 2022, Andrade revealed that he and Ospreay were originally set to go one-on-one at the event, but plans for the bout were nixed due to the situation between AAA, CMLL and NJPW.

To summarise the situation, Andrade El Idolo also working with AAA meant that he couldn’t work with NJPW. This was due to issues between AAA and CMLL, a promotion which partners with NJPW.

AEW and NJPW will hold their second Forbidden Door event on June 25 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
