AEW Star Pulled From Upcoming Event, Replacement Revealed AEW

AEW star Eddie Kingston has been pulled from an independent appearance slated for this weekend, with another AEW star replacing him.

The NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion was originally set to appear for Absolute Intense Wrestling at Saturday’s (September 16) event.

Absolute Intense Wrestling has now taken to Twitter to note that Kingston will no longer be appearing on this show due to circumstances beyond their control.

Noting that Lance Archer will instead be in action, the promotion shared the following:

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control Eddie Kingston will no longer be appearing tomorrow night, Lance Archer will now take his place and will be in non-tournament action.

It’s currently unclear why Kingston was pulled from the show. Kingston was previously pulled from the August 18 House of Glory show, with the promotion also stating that this was down to circumstances out of their control.

Kingston has a big match slated for the September 20 Dynamite Grand Slam show, with the NJPW STRONG Champion to face off against ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli in a title vs title winner takes all match.
