Champion Vs. Champion Match Announced For AEW Dynamite Grand Slam AEW

Announced on tonight’s AEW Collision, a champion versus champion match for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20.

Eddie Kingston will be putting his NJPW Strong Openweight Championship on the line when he takes on ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli with the Ring of Honor title on the line as well.

It will be winner take all at New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium as Eddie Kingston made sure to note in the exchange, the match will be in his backyard and in front of his parents.

Also set for Dynamite Grand Slam, an AEW World Championship match featuring MJF putting his title on the line against an as yet to be determined opponent.

Later tonight on Collision, two semi-finals matches in the tournament to determine who will face MJF at Grand Slam.

Roderick Strong or Darby Allin will advance to the finals in one bracket while Samoa Joe or Penta El Zero Miedo will advance in the other.

The final will take place on next week’s Dynamite and then the match with MJF at Grand Slam will take place the week after.
