AEW Star Pulled From Show Due To ‘Circumstances Beyond Their Control’ AEW

AEW star Eddie Kingston missed an appearance at an event for the House of Glory independent wrestling promotion on Friday (August 18).

Kingston was initially scheduled to face Charles Mason at HOG High Intensity X, with the HOG Crown Jewel Title on the line.

This ultimately didn’t happen, with HOG taking to Instagram ahead of the event to reveal that, due to circumstances beyond the promotion’s control, Kingston would not be appearing.

HOG wrote:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Eddie Kingston will not be appearing tonight.

We will do everything in our power to bring you the best possible wrestling experience tonight at #HighIntensityX

Masha Slamovich ultimately confronted and challenged Mason, with Mason defeating Slamovich to retain his title.

It is currently unclear why Kingston missed this event, Kingston hasn’t addressed his absence at the tile of writing. The popular star recently returned to AEW TV following his tour in Japan, appearing on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.

Kingston is also currently scheduled to compete at All In, teaming with Orange Cassidy, the Best Friends and the Lucha Brothers to battle the Blackpool Combat Club and three unannounced names in a Stadium Stampede bout.

With Kingston missing this independent event, there has been some speculation that he is injured and will be pulled from the All In lineup, however this is all just speculation at the time of writing.

It has been reported that another top AEW star has been working ‘banged up’, which you can read more about right here.
