Ric Flair signed a ‘multi-year’ AEW contract after being presented as Tony Khan’s ‘special gift’ to Sting on last week’s Dynamite.
On the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Flair reunited with Sting as The Icon prepares to bring an end to his career at AEW Revolution in 2024.
November 2 would reveal that Ric Flair had signed a “multi-year deal” that would also see his Wooooo! Energy drink become the exclusive energy drink of AEW.
Speaking on a special Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted the exact length of the contract, asking:
“So you’re going to be part of the TV for two years?”
The 74-year-old WWE Hall of Famer would confirm that he is, indeed, signed to a two year deal, saying:
“Yes. 76 and still talking. Wooooo!”
Footage from Ric Flair’s appearance on the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite can be seen below.
In a recent interview, Flair discussed the pitch he ran by WWE for his Wooooo! Energy drink before he would bring the deal to AEW.
He would also share his thoughts on MJF, teasing the possibility of working with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
