While it has been speculated that this title loss means that we will see more of the former champion on AEW TV, Nick Wayne is actually set to be in Japan for the NJPW Best of the Super Jr’s tournament, which kicks off on May 14.
The tournament finals take place on June 7, meaning that Wayne will likely be absent from ROH and AEW tapings until then, as he competes in the notable round-robin tournament.
Wayne previously commented on his inclusion in this year’s Best of the Super Jr’s lineup, calling it his chance for “redemption“.
