AEW Star Spotted In New Video Game Trailer

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted AEW’s Samoa Joe in the trailer for an upcoming video game set for a 2025 release.

The reveal trailer for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii was shown at the RGG Summit 2024.

With a release date of February 28th, 2025, the nearly seven-minute trailer can be seen below this news story courtesy of GameSpot.

In the trailer, the hero of the story is Goro Majima who finds himself washed up on Rich Island, near Hawaii, with a case of amnesia.

Majima fights off some pirates before taking his place as the captain of his own ship with his adventure leading him to Madlantis and Queen Michelle.

Among all the chaos of the trailer, eagle-eyed fans spotted a familiar face that appears on screen for less than a second.

As can be seen below this news story, that face is none other than AEW’s Samoa Joe.

The former AEW TNT Champion is in an as-yet unannounced role, although he does manage to look threatening and wealthy sitting on a lavish gold seat.

Samoa Joe has previously been the voice of King Shark in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League along with Juggernaut in Dota 2 and Dota Underlords.

He has also been seen on television screens as Sweet Tooth in Twisted Metal with the character’s voice provided by Will Arnett.

Like A Dragon has past associations with AEW with Sega sponsoring a Street Fight on the November 15, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.
