How Much AEW Made From Sega Like A Dragon Sponsorship Revealed AEW

How much money AEW made for the Sega sponsorship for the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight on AEW Dynamite has been revealed.

A big sponsorship match took place on last night’s (November 15) episode of AEW Dynamite, when Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi and Paul Wight faced Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs and Brian Cage in a ‘Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight’.

The match saw Kenny pick up the win via a One Winged Angel on Brian Cage after an insane match with many references to the source material.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), more details on the match have now been revealed.

The deal from Sega for the match was into the six figures, with it being largely connected to Kenny Omega.

The deal had been in the works for weeks between Sega, AEW’s Nik Sobic and Omega, with the original pitches being for the match to take place at Full Gear or another show, before it was ultimately decided that the match would take place on last night’s show.

The show took place on Dynamite rather than Full Gear as a way to get more eyes on the sponsorship.

Wight had been planned for a return to the ring in November and was factored in, while Sammy Guevara was originally planned, but ended up getting pulled due to injury, replaced by Cage.
