An AEW star has reflected on the anniversary of ‘one of their favorite matches’ against CM Punk during his time in the company.
CM Punk made his WWE return after almost a decade away back at Survivor Series in Chicago in November.
Punk had been fired from AEW in September following the backstage incident at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in August, ending his two year run in the company.
During his time in AEW, Punk took part in many classic matches, and an AEW star has called his match with Punk one of his favorite matches.
Taking to Twitter to reflect on the two year anniversary of his match with Punk on Dynamite, Dax Harwood credited the match for launching the current iteration of FTR.
He said:
2 years ago today. The match that launched FTR into our current iteration. This is one of my favorite matches of my 20 year career. I’m lucky to have shared the ring with Punk.
