AEW Star MJF has been confirmed for the Over Budget Battle Royal. He officially announced his entry into the battle royal on the most recent episode of The Road to Double or Nothing.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman was one of the first wrestlers signed to AEW. After competing at ALL IN, he appeared with the company at their initial press conference in Jacksonville on January 8th.
He stated that he is not looking to impress anyone in the battle royal, he is just coming to win. MJF also teased that there will be a prize for whoever wins the match. When Flip Gordon won the original Over Budget Battle Royal, he received a Ring of Honor World Championship match against Jay Lethal at ALL IN. It remains to be seem what the prize for this match will be.
Cody also announced that their video editor and independent wrestler Sunny Daze (real name Dylan Frymyer) will be competing in the Over Budget Battle Royal. Afterwards, Daze discussed his history with mental health and wrestling.
MJF and Sunny Daze now join Kip Sabien, Glacier, Brian Pillman Jr., Ace Romero, Brandon Cutler, and Sonny Kiss in the battle royal.
