AEW Star “Couldn’t Breathe” Following Botched Move On Dynamite

It was reported yesterday that AEW star Abadon was seriously injured during the filming of her match with Tay Conti earlier this week. This match was set to air on next week’s episode of Dynamite.

fans were left rather worried, with few details being available at the time regarding Abadon’s condition. However, some additional notes have now emerged regarding the injury that she suffered, and it’s rather scary.

Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio that Abadon was hit with an elbow to the throat from Conti during the filming of their match. The spot reportedly left Abadon unable to breathe.

The match was stopped immediately after those involved released that Abadon was seriously hurt. She was then taken to the hospital so that her injuries could be evaluated. Thankfully, she is expected to make a full recovery.

This is a rather scary situation, especially considering Abadon was reportedly left unable to breathe following the botch. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her in the ring and on Dynamite before too long.

The match is unlikely to air next week due to the injury. Based on the complete spoilers that have leaked for next week’s show, it looks like we are set to see no women’s match feature on next week’s Dynamite in this case.
