An AEW star has expressed his love for the company helping him live out his wrestling dream.
In October 2022, The Kingdom’s Mike Bennett, Matt Taven and Maria Kanellis-Bennett signed multi-year deals with All Elite Wrestling.
Before their signing with the promotion, the duo had a prominent stint in IMPACT Wrestling with Taven and Bennett winning tag team gold. They were also former two-time ROH World Tag Team Champions during the previous regime of Ring of Honor.
The trio were featured as part of the new ROH since the weekly television show started in March. However, Bennett and Taven have now been featured on AEW TV as part of Roderick Strong’s storyline with Adam Cole.
On September 17, Mike Bennett took to social media to state that he dreamed of being a wrestler as a kid and working for AEW is the closest he has ever felt to living out what that dream felt like. He said:
When I was a child I had a dream of being a pro wrestler. Working for @AEW is the closest I’ve ever felt to living out what that dream felt like as a child. The people, the talent, the process, the fans, the locker room culture. Y’all make me love my job so much and remind me of how lucky I truly am.
On the September 15 edition of AEW Rampage, The Kingdom defeated Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal.
