AEW Star Addresses Ronda Rousey Potentially Signing With Company WWE, AEW

An AEW star has publicly weighed in on former UFC and WWE champion Ronda Rousey potentially joining the company after recently making her debut in ROH on Friday, November 18.

To the surprise of many Rousey showed up unannounced for a tag match alongside friend and AEW star Marina Shafir, to take on Athena and Billie Starkz at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

While it was reported that Rousey was on a ‘handshake deal’ by Fightful Select prior to AEW Full Gear on November 18, AEW President Tony Khan would confirm at the post-show media scrum that Rousey had not signed a deal with the company just now.

However, this has not stopped a former AEW Women’s World Champion from chiming in on Rousey potentially doing so in the future.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa said that Rousey would be a “great addition” to the AEW locker room for many reasons, explaining:

“It’s a great addition to the women’s division…Anybody that’s signed to AEW, bring something positive to the locker room and bring something better to the locker room.

“For me, that’s a bottom line. Business-wise, yeah, we want them to sell tickets and bring the buzz.

“In terms of having a co-worker that you feel comfortable working with, it’s definitely bringing that positiveness to the locker room.”
