An AEW star took a shot at a current WWE champion after the latter made a shady comment about All Elite Wrestling’s home, Jacksonville.
Grayson Waller appears to have stirred up a little bit of trouble with Dax the Axe!
In an appearance on Going Ringside, Waller quoted as saying:
“Finally, some good wrestling in Jacksonville. I feel like it’s been years since we’ve seen some really good wrestling in Jacksonville. That’s what we’re bringing back.”
AEW’s Dax Harwood then shared the quote, adding:
“In that case, let’s hope they don’t give him a match.”
Speaking of big matches, Dax and his partner Cash Wheeler have a big opportunity coming up.
On Sunday, April 21 at AEW Dynasty on pay-per-view FTR will take on the Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) in a ladder match to determine who will become the new AEW Tag Team Champions.
The titles were vacated by previous holders, Darby Allin and Sting after the latter retired at the last AEW pay-per-view, Revolution.
Grayson Waller for his part recently successfully won a ladder match at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, scaling a ladder to capture gold for his team.
Waller and his partner Austin Theory (collectively known as A-Town Down Under) won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WWE WrestleMania.
