Top AEW Star Teases Hair Vs. Mask Match

Top AEW star and former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson has teased a hair vs. mask match with a wrestling legend.

Since the arrival of talent into AEW, the Blackpool Combat Club has been feuding with the stars of CMLL.

The BCC’s Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley will team with Matt Sydal to step into a CMLL ring for the first time to face Mistico, Volador Jr., Blue Panther and Ultimo Guerrero on their March 29 Arena Mexico show.

Danielson’s interest in wrestling Panther has been well documented over the years with many fans buzzing about the potential match between the legends.

At a press conference ahead of the CMLL event, Bryan Danielson was asked whether he would want to face Blue Panther in a Hair vs. Hair or Hair vs. Mask Match. He answered:

“Yeah, I mean, honestly, this is one of my biggest dreams in wrestling that I have yet to accomplish, is to wrestle in Arena Mexico, in a Hair vs. Hair or Hair vs. Mask match.”

“I would love for that to be against Blue Panther, but I don’t know how much of a chance he stands at this point.”

“So he’ll be losing his hair if we do that. Whose mask I’d really like to take, I would love to do Mistico vs. Bryan Danielson, Hair versus Mask,” 

CMLL announced that AEW referee Bryce Remsburg will serve as the referee for the eight-man tag team bout on the March 29 Arena Mexico event.

Bryan Danielson is also set to face Will Ospreay in a dream match at AEW Dynasty on April 21. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
