AEW Star’s First Match In Over A Year Revealed? AEW

A top AEW star’s first match in over a year may have been revealed.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been working her way back from a serious back injury that has sidelined her for over a year since August 2022.

Despite teasing a return earlier this year and returning to the road, Rosa has still not made her comeback in All Elite Wrestling. However, a recent social media interaction may have just teased Rosa’s first match back.

During this past weekend’s TussleMANIA event, Thunder Rosa got into a physical confrontation with fellow AEW star Billie Starkz. Over on Ring of Honor TV, Starkz has acted as a protege to current ROH Women’s Champion Athena.

Taking to social media to retweet the altercation between Rosa and Starkz, Athena expressed her displeasure and stated she knew what Rosa was trying to do. She wrote:

@ringofhonor I know what you are trying to do…. you could just ask coward….

In response to this message from “The Fallen Goddess,” Rosa suggested that the champ has her number to call for a bout, writing:

If that is what you think it is…. You got my number champ…. @ringofhonor #tiktok #lameramera

Athena quote tweeted the statement and suggested the ROH Board of Directors make the match, writing:

@ringofhonor Oh no baby girl… the champ doesn’t reach out to #PorcelainHussies for a match… they come to me. I’ll be waiting for when you get the courage to take this ass whooping! And just be clear #ROHBoardOfDirectors this is a fight we both want let her through

-Athena

Athena and Thunder Rosa have had one prior bout in 2022 for Warrior Wrestling that went to a time limit draw.
