An AEW star has revealed they are out of action with a torn pec suffered from a simple clothesline, and will be out for four months.
Ortiz has not wrestled since the January 20 episode of AEW Collision, where he and Eddie Kingston were defeated by the Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.
Now, Ortiz has confirmed the reason for his recent absence from the ring.
Speaking on Isiah Kassidy’s vlog, Ortiz noted that he suffered an injury, which he revealed to be a torn pec suffered from a simple clothesline, and that he would be undergoing surgery in ‘two weeks’ as of when the video was filmed.
He said:
“I’m injured man. Yeah I’m injured, I’m about to get surgery in two weeks. It was just from a clothesline, I tore my pec from a clothesline. It’s because I’m too jacked, so I was so jacked that my tendons couldn’t keep up.
“Two weeks, four months recovery time, then I’ll be back, more jacked with a mullet and a moustache.”
Ortiz’s former partner Mike Santana recently left AEW, and is reportedly set to sign with TNA.
