AEW Star Wins Championship Unification Match AEW

A top AEW star won a championship unification match on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision in Boston, MA.

Just days away from Full Gear 2025, AEW hosted a special three hour back-to-back episode of Dynamite and Collision.

The show saw new matches added to this Saturday’s pay-per-view and storylines further develop, but it also played host to a ROH Women’s World Television Championship unification match in its main event.

Pitting the returning original champion Red Velvet against interim champion Mercedes Monè, “The CEO” was seeking a big win to not only ensure she kept a hold of championship number 13, but also build momentum towards her AEW Women’s World Title match with Kris Statlander at Full Gear.

With Statlander watching on in the front row, Monè frequently got distracted by her presence and was almost caught out by Velvet on several occasions throughout.

However, it was the hometown favorite Monè that picked up the win in the end, delivering a top rope Lungblower to be crowned the Undisputed ROH Women’s World TV Champion.

After the bell Monè jumped Statlander and locked in the Statement Maker on her Full Gear opponent, before holding the AEW Women’s World Title aloft as the show came to a close.
