AEW World Champion MJF has revealed that an aspect of his current storyline with Adam Cole is more than just for cameras, and is a legitimate shoot.
MJF’s character has underwent a major change in recent weeks, with the current world champion learning to show compassion to those around him.
This change was in no small part due to Adam Cole, who has became MJF’s on-screen best friend.
Speaking with Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca, MJF noted that his friendship with Adam Cole is a shoot.
Discussing his upcoming All In London main event match, MJF said:
“So the fact that I get to share this moment in history with somebody who is, people love to use the word ‘shoot,’ but somebody who’s like shoot my best friend, I love the dude, and it’s crazy.
“We have our ups and downs, just like any friends do. Sometimes, I want to hit him in the fucking face with this ring. Sometimes, he wants to superkick my jaw off.
“But at the end of the day, we always hug it out. I’m gonna beat you, Adam. But we’ll hug it out.”
In the final match of the August 27 show, Adam Cole will challenge for MJF’s AEW World Championship.
This will come after Cole and MJF team up to challenge for the ROH Tag Team Title in the All In Buy In pre-show.
