It appears AEW and IMPACT Wrestling are taking their partnership to the next level. An AEW tag team will be appearing on IMPACT Wrestling and will be challenging Chris Sabin and James Storm.
Private Party with Matt Hardy will face Sabin and Storm. If they win, they will become the number 1 contenders for the IMPACT Tag Team Championships. The current champions are Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson known as the Good Brothers.

The paid advertisement that aired with the announcement did not specify when the title opportunity would come if the duo won. However, they weren’t the only AEW folks who would appear in the IMPACT Zone.
Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn actually appeared in the IMPACT Arena instead of just a paid advertisement. It’s not clear how AEW and IMPACT will continue to work together.

However, with AEW putting up 14 matches on AEW Dark at times, having another show to showcase talent would probably help a crowded roster get airtime and much needed work on television.

During the match, Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn made their way down to ringside. Jerry Lynn hopped the guardrail and grabbed the foot of Chris Sabin. This allowed Private Party to hit Gin and Juice. They are the new number 1 contenders for the IMPACT Tag Team Titles.
