AEW tag team The Infantry’s Captain Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo have discussed defying doubters after their upset win on Collision.

On the March 16 edition of AEW Collision, The Infantry defeated House of Black’s Buddy Matthews and Brody King in a Wild Card Match to earn a spot in the AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament.

The win came thanks to the outside interference of Mark Briscoe who helped Dean and Bravo score the victory.

In an AEW digital exclusive, The Infantry commented on their win. They said:

Shawn Dean: “Damn, Bravo. We just slipped into the next round, baby.”

Carlie Bravo: “Really, bro?”

SD: “I’m just saying, look, bro. At war, it’s not about how you win, it’s if you win.”

CB: “That’s a fact.”

On everything they been through to make it to this point in the tournament, The Infantry said:

SD: “We’ve been through a lot of battles, man, and every battle ain’t gonna go according to plan. But tonight, everything went to plan.”

CB: “See, here’s my issue. They try to count us out. They act like we weren’t supposed to be here. We wasn’t supposed to make it out of the city. We wasn’t supposed to make it out of war.”

“We wasn’t supposed to be in AEW. We wasn’t supposed to be in this tag tournament. But hey, plot twist, we in it, and we won it. Now what everybody gotta say? What, you thought this was a game? Sometimes, at war, you don’t realize, it ain’t about attacking.”

“Sometimes, it’s about survival, and that’s exactly what we had to do tonight. Survive, son. Stop playing with us. You know what’s next, right? Big time.”

SD: “Big Time.”

The Infantry also warned FTR who they will meet in the Quarterfinals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Torunament.
