AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts about wrestlers dating each other.

Thekla has made a name for herself in short order in AEW, which in large part has been down to her outspoken attitude.

In a new interview with TMZ, the Austrian once again didn’t hold back – this time when asked about wrestlers dating each other and whether it’s a good idea.

She specifically mentioned that she thinks it’s “whack as hell” when supposedly badass wrestlers share wedding photos, saying:

“I’m not sure if it’s a good idea (for wrestlers to date other wrestlers) per se. Everybody’s good looking and horny from what I can tell.

“I think it’s a good idea in a way – it’s probably hard to date somebody who isn’t immersed in your world as we live very strange lives, professional wrestlers.

“It’s hard to explain all that. All the travel and all the horniness.

“A lot of very badass-portrayed people on TV become extremely lame when they post photos of themselves getting married in some cute little church in the middle of a beach in Italy or something.

“I find it whack as hell. I don’t care what you do in your private life, but as a professional, I wouldn’t post that s**t. That’s what I think.”

Thekla Now A Bonafide AEW Star

With the way Tony Khan has spoken about Thekla recently, there’s no doubt she’s very high on the AEW roster totem pole.

Khan most recently named Thekla as one of the new “pillars” of the promotion, along with Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher and Mercedes Mone – and Thekla was the first one he named on that list.

She also recently re-signed with the promotion not long after originally signing, which is just another hint that both sides are very happy with how things are going thus far.
