After making a shocking in-ring appearance on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, a surprising announcement followed from Tony Khan regarding Jeff Jarrett.
Not only did Jeff Jarrett receive the All Elite graphic treatment, he was also noted as not only in AEW as a performer but rather in an directoral capacity as well.
With Tony Khan writing on Twitter:
Welcome to #AEWDynamite to the new AEW Director of Business Development @RealJeffJarrett
I look forward to expanding the @AEW live events calendar in 2023 + in future years with JJ, @rmorfnyc ,@mookieghana and our entire great AEW team.
Jeff Jarrett is All Elite!
Jeff Jarrett is proving to be the human embodiment of the Forbidden Door as this year alone has seen him performing in some of the most landmark moments in professional wrestling.
Not only was he one of the opponents (alongside Jay Lethal) for Ric Flair’s Last Match, he also served as special guest referee at SummerSlam for a big tag team championship bout.
Jarrett was released by WWE back in August 2022 from a seemingly similar role, overseeing live events, after the departure of Vince McMahon from the company.
Jarrett’s replacement in the SVP of WWE live events role was Triple H rehire ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James.
