An update has been provided on Wardlow’s injury following a moment in his match against Komander on the January 31 episode of AEW Dynamite.
As can be seen from the match highlights below, the former TNT Champion was dominant throughout the match, going on to win.
During the match, he went to hit a powerbomb on Komander as his leg buckled and he appeared to limp afterwards
After AEW Dynamite, Wardlow provided his own update on his condition, stating that his ‘knee is just fine.‘.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Brian Alvarez provided an update on the injury, saying:
Bryan Alvarez: “Wardlow says he is fine. I have been told that it’s not fine.”
Dave Meltzer: “I was told that he was hurt.”
Alvarez: “What I was told was, he’s getting checked out tomorrow. They think it’s possibly a torn Meniscus, but that he dodged a bullet and it wasn’t much worse and he’ll probably be alright.
“But he definitely is not ‘fine’. Something went wrong and he is being looked at tomorrow.”
