AEW star Dustin Rhodes has addressed ruling out a WWE return, providing clarification on his retirement plans.
With Dustin Rhodes confirming in December 2024 that he had signed a new multi-year deal with AEW, Dustin indicated that he plans to finish his career with the promotion.
Despite fans pitching for Dustin to reunite with Cody in WWE, Dustin has stated several times that he doesn’t intend to return to WWE.
Dustin has now taken to Twitter to address his plans, noting that he feels his time as Goldust in WWE ran its course.
Noting that he’s passionate about what he’s doing in AEW, Rhodes wrote:
“I had a wonderful career as Goldust and respect the s**t out of my time with WWE. Goldust ran its course.
“I am having the time of my life coming back full circle as Dustin Rhodes. No hate towards them. I had 24 yrs there.
“My passion lies where I am at now, AEW. I watch all companies.”
Dustin Rhodes is currently a double champion in ROH, holding the ROH Tag Team Championship with Sammy Guevara, and the Six Man Tag Team Championship with Marshall & Ross Von Erich.
