Another championship match has been added to the card for the upcoming pay-per-view AEW Dynasty pay-per-view.
A Women’s World Championship match has been added to the AEW Dynasty card and a former champion will be the challenger.
As announced during tonight’s Dynamite, Toni Storm will defend the title against Thunder Rosa at Dynasty on April 21.
While they were scheduled to go against each other in August 2022, instead Thunder Rosa was injured and ended up vacating her AEW Women’s World Title.
She didn’t lose it directly to Toni Storm and now she gets a chance to re-claim the title that she never lost as she won a match tonight to secure a title shot at AEW Dynasty.
Thunder Rosa beat Storm’s protege Mariah May on tonight’s Dynamite to become the number one contender to the championship.
It was then announced that the match would take place at AEW Dynasty.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Mercedes Mone announced that she’ll be challenging for the TBS Championship at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 26.
Before that, at Dynasty, Julia Hart will defend the TBS Title against Willow Nightingale.
