It has come to light that another star suffered an injury during a match at last night’s IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
It’s been confirmed that Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns tag team got injured on the show too. Shelley took a piledriver on the ramp from Josh Alexander that legitimately injured him.
Black Label Pro has announced it has had to pull Shelley from its upcoming ‘Slamilton’ event as a result. He was going to be facing Billy Roc. The promotion did assure that the match will still happen, just at a later date.
This comes following news that Heath suffered an injury in the Call Your Shot gauntlet – that he was supposed to win until he got injured – as well as Kylie Rae pulling from the show completely.
Shelley has since taken to Twitter to comment on the injury, writing:
Wrestling is a really dangerous sport and sometimes things don’t work out the way you want them to. I apologize to @BLabelPro and @SORBilly who was coming out of retirement as well as any independent companies I was negotiating with. Piledrivers are very dangerous.
So, the C6 nerve root controls your pointer finger and bicep and C5 can refer to your pectoralis. If you feel intense burning in either of these areas following trauma, please seek medical attention. I feel somewhat grateful to have the education to know what the red flags are.
IMPACT posted the clip of the piledriver which you can see here:
