This past week on AEW Dynamite, Anthony Bowens was unfortunately subjected to a number of homophobic slurs from a fan in attendance.
Bowens, who is openly gay, was tagging with Acclaimed teammate Max Caster and 2Point0 to take on The Varsity Blondes and The Jurassic Express when the slur was uttered.
He has now responded to the slur on Twitter, as you can see below.
This is why I posted that photo the other day. Stuff like this unfortunately still exists. Not phased, I’ll just keep fighting against stuff like this til the day I die. https://t.co/OI29dCeNU2

Unfortunately, fans have also noted that Nyla Rose was subjected to transphobic slurs, and Riho was the target of racial slurs.
The photo Bowens is referring to in the image is when Bowens tweeted a picture of himself and boyfriend Michael Pavano kissing in front of homophobic protesters.
Everyone at WrestleTalk totally condemns the behaviour of this fan, and any other fans who use homophobic, transphobic or racist language.
There is no room for hate in wrestling.
