WWE Star Warns Cristiano Ronaldo Against Jump To Pro-Wrestling AFT-JIJI

WWE star Apollo Crews has commented on the possibility of football star Cristiano Ronaldo making the jump to pro-wrestling.

Several notable stars have made their wrestling debuts in recent years, with Shaquille O’Neal stepping into an AEW ring in early 2021, Bad Bunny competing at WrestleMania 37 later that year, and Logan Paul wrestling his first match at WrestleMania 38 in April.

Speaking with Metro, Apollo noted that following the top star’s run in this year’s World Cup, he believes Ronaldo has the mentality to succeed in wrestling.

Indicating that he’d be a potential opponent for Ronaldo, when asked if the footballer could be a success in WWE, Apollo said:

‘Not with me here!’

Noting that the physicality usually puts newcomers off when considering a wrestling run, Apollo explained:

‘Honestly, with that mentality to be a top athlete in the world on that level, I think just on the mentality alone he would’ve done okay. When you start the physical part, that’s a different story though, for most people.

‘But again, (he’s) a world class athlete so I wouldn’t put it past him.’

Apollo currently wrestles for the NXT brand. At the December 10 Deadline event, the former main roster star unsuccessfully challenged for top prospect Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship.
