Australian WWE Star Loses Championship Match At Elimination Chamber WWE

Australia’s own Indi Hartwell had a championship match to kick off WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 in the city of Perth.

In a match that was only announced on Thursday at the Elimination Chamber press event, Hartwell teamed with Candice LeRae to challenge the Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane, for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

Despite it being a homecoming for Hartwell, it wasn’t a title win as the Kabuki Warriors retained when Sane pinned LeRae after an elbow drop.

There was still a nice moment for Hartwell after the match as she got a reception from the crowd.

There are two other Australians scheduled for Elimination Chamber later on, one of which is Sydney’s Grayson Waller who hosts the Grayson Waller Effect talk show with guests Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The other is of course Adelaide’s Rhea Ripley, who defends her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax.

Ripley (providing she retains against Jax) and Rollins will both find out their WrestleMania challengers tonight via two Elimination Chamber matches.

Elsewhere, Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, the New Catch Republic.
