Details On Origins Of Backstage Heat Between CM Punk & Bobby Fish AEW

More details have emerged on the heat between CM Punk and Bobby Fish, following Fish’s harsh words about the former AEW World Champion.

Bobby Fish recently criticised Punk for incorporating MMA strikes into his moveset, arguing that Punk is not a true martial artist.

The former AEW star also recalled his match against Punk October 27 edition of Rampage, noting that Punk acted like a ‘c**t’ following the bout.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), sources have stated that the heat between the duo was exacerbated by Fish attempting to kick out of the GTS following the three-count.

When a ‘veteran’ discussed this with Fightful, they reportedly noted that Punk took a long time to cover Fish for the pin but was selling his leg, which Fish had been working over during the bout.

The report noted that after this, there wasn’t much communication between Fish and Punk.

NJPW star KENTA has reacted to Fish’s comments about Punk, arguing that Fish was ‘100% right’.

Fish recently finished up with AEW, with the two sides unable to come to terms on a new deal.
