Wrestling veteran Jimmy Wang Yang is reportedly done with WWE following a tryout as a backstage producer.
Yang returned to the company for the tryout in October, also making an appearance on the November 22 edition of WWE Raw as an official restraining Seth Rollins.
As per PWInsider, Yang felt the position wasn’t for him and chose to move on, several weeks into the tryout.
During his short time in the backstage role, Yang has produced segments for both Raw and SmackDown, notably helping to put together the US Championship match between Damian Priest and Apollo Crews on the November 29 episode of Raw.
WWE producers have reportedly been hit hard by COVID in the last few days, with the company only having access to around half of the usual number of backstage names to cover Monday’s Raw.
We wish Yang the best for the future.
