Backstage Reaction To WWE Star’s Improvised Raw Spot

The backstage reaction to a WWE star’s improvised spot on last night’s WWE Raw after WrestleMania show has been revealed.

The number one contender for Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship was crowned in the main event of last night’s show, when Jey Uso scored the victory over Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed and Ricochet.

Jey pinned Drew after Drew was distracted by CM Punk, allowing Jey to score the win in the match to earn the shot.

Reed and Ricochet were taken out of the match moments before, when Ricochet hit a Springboard 450 Splash on Reed, who was laid out on the announce table.

Before hitting the move, Ricochet turned to his fiancee Samantha Irvin at ringside, telling her ‘I’m sorry’ before leaping through the air onto Reed on the outside.

In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Ricochet’s improvised apology to Samantha was said to have gone over well backstage.

Fightful also provided an update on Sheamus’ upcoming WWE return, with a vignette hyping his return airing on last night’s show.
