Battle Of Former NXT Champions Set For WWE Raw

A battle of former NXT Champions, Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa is set for this Monday’s January 8 edition of WWE Raw.

On the December 18 edition of WWE Raw, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest defeated The Creed Brothers to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in the main event.

With Julius and Brutus Creed in their rearview mirror, it remained to be seen who the next challengers for Balor and Priest will be.

Despite Awesome Truth reuniting and Street Profits calling out the champions, it seems another duo has also set their sights on the gold.

On January 7, WWE announced that Finn Balor will face former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa on this Monday’s January 8 episode of WWE Raw.

Ciampa and his tag team partner Johnny Gargano have made it no secret that they have their desire to earn a shot at The Judgment Day’s titles.

It remains to be seen whether DIY will get the next opportunity at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships following this upcoming showdown.
