The issue with holding two championships that aren’t unified is that both are expected to be defended at big pay-per-view events. This is an issue that Becky Lynch is scheduled to face at Money In The Bank on May, 19, with it being widely expected that “The Man” will be forced to defend both of her championships in separate matches at the show.
It was announced on Raw last night and later confirmed by WWE that Becky Lynch will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans at the event. However, Dave Meltzer has added on Wrestling Observer Radio that as of Monday, the plan is to have Lynch defend both her belts in separate matches at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Meltzer did add that there is no official word on who Lynch will be defending her Smackdown Women’s Championship against, but WWE is teasing a face-off between “The Man” and Charlotte Flair on tonight’s show, so it is totally plausible that we will be seeing “The Queen” vs. “The Man” YET AGAIN on pay-per-view in just a few weeks.
Who do you want to see Becky defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against at Money In The Bank? Let us know in the comments.
