The first match has been announced for the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, and it’ll be Big E defending the WWE Title against Seth Rollins.
UPDATE – By virtue of a win over Big E thanks to Seth Rollins interfering and causing a disqualification, Kevin Owens has been added to the match to make it a three-way.
The pay-per-view will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on January 1, 2022.
It’s the next pay-per-view on WWE’s calendar meaning there won’t be one throughout the month of December (with the exception of NXT WarGames on December 5).
Seth Rollins earned the title match by winning a ladder match on the October 25 episode of Raw against Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio.
Big E made his most recent defence of the title against Austin Theory on last week’s November 22 episode of Raw.
