Pete Dunne is set to defend his NXT UK Championship against WALTER at NXT Takeover: New York tomorrow night, and whilst maybe not at a big Takeover event, it has been announced that next week, Toni Storm will defend her NXT UK Women’s Championship against Jinny.
Jinny was bested by Toni Storm in the first round of the 2018 Mae Young Classic, which Strom would go on to win, and Jinny will be hoping for retribution.
Storm has been NXT UK Women’s Champion since NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool on January 12th 2019, defeating Rhea Ripley for the belt. Also announced for the show is NXT regular Kassius Ohno taking on Travis Banks.
This is an exciting time for NXT UK, with Triple H announcing that NXT UK will be taping three shows at WrestleMania Axxess. Also “The Game” revealed that the WWE Network special “Women Collide”, which will be filmed the day after WrestleMania. Toni Storm is set to feature in a triple-threat match against Bianca Belair and Nikki Cross.
