Brodie Lee, despite only joining AEW just under two months ago, is set to challenge AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for his title at the second-ever Double or Nothing pay-per-view later this month.
The man formerly known as Luke Harper has been incredibly impressive in his run with the promotion thus far, becoming the leader of the Dark Order stable and picking up wins over established stars like Christopher Daniels.
In AEW, Brodie Lee’s finisher is a Discuss Clothesline, a move he also used in WWE, but he starts the sequence by getting his opponent in a Sister Abigal position. This is obviously a tribute to Bray Wyatt.
However, it appears that a tribute to his former leader isn’t the only little homage that Lee plays with his finisher. It has been revealed that Lee has named his finisher after a WWE Hall of Famer.
AEW referee Bryce Remsburg took to Twitter to reveal that in memory of The Big Boss Man, Brodie Lee has named his clothesline finisher in AEW “The Boss Man”. In case you didn’t believe Bryce, Brodie replied, revealing that this is a true story.
True story.
