Bron Breakker has commented on his father’s derogatory view of Gisele Shaw.
Over WrestleMania 39 weekend in April, Gisele Shaw, who came out as a transgender woman in June 2022, said that WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner made derogatory comments towards her during the WrestleCon convention.
In her statement on the incident, Shaw added that Steiner continued to make comments even after she confronted him.
While Rick Steiner has yet to address the issue, his son and WWE NXT star Bron Breakker has broken his silence on the situation.
Speaking with Phil Strum of Under The Ring, Breakker was asked about his father’s derogatory comments. He answered:
“Yeah, you know, I appreciate the question. I can’t speak for my father, but that’s not a reflection of me and who I am and what I’m about.”
Bron Breakker is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the June 20 Gold Rush special of WWE NXT.
Meanwhile, Gisele Shaw is currently in IMPACT Wrestling and is set to challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship on July 1 at IMPACT Down Under.
