Bronson Reed Wins NXT North American Title

They had hyped it up as his last chance to win the NXT North American title. Thankfully for Bronson Reed, he will not need another shot as he was able to win the title in the main event of tonight’s show.

Reed took on Johnny Gargano for the title in a Steel Cage match. Throughout the match, Reed had to fight off not only Gargano but Austin Theory as well. Eventually, he was able to take Theory out and hit a pair of Tsunamis on Gargano to win the title.

This is Reed’s first championship in NXT. He had previously challenged for the title at NXT Takeover Stand & Deliver where Gargano was able to retain the title.

After fighting his way through The Way and defeating Austin Theory to earn the title shot, Bronson Reed made the most of his opportunity this time.

It was also announced on NXT that the NXT Tag Team Championship will be defended in two weeks. William Regal announced that Legado del Fantasma will finally get their title shot against MSK after defeating Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher tonight.
