Bryan Danielson Lists Dream Opponents For Final Full-Time Year In AEW AEW

Bryan Danielson has named some popular stars as potential opponents for his final year as a full-time wrestler in AEW.

On the September 9 edition of Collision, Danielson indicated that the next 365 days will be his last full year wrestling full-time, noting that he has always promised to spend more time with his family after his daughter Birdie turns 7.

Speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Danielson noted that he’s focusing less on accomplishments, and more on his time between the ropes.

Naming Darby Allin, Nick Wayne, Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega as stars he wants to face, Danielson said:

“I have people I’d like to get in the ring with. Most of them are AEW people because those are the most easily accessible. For example, I would love to do a match with Darby Allin in Seattle. How cool would that be?

“Even like Nick Wayne. Me and Swerve have never wrestled. And I’m just talking about Washington State wrestlers. I want to do another match with Kenny Omega.

“There’s all these different things that I would like to do but… I don’t want to limit it to names.

“What I really want out of this year is to be fully present and to be able to appreciate this being my last full-time year of wrestling.”

Danielson was in action at AEW WrestleDream, defeating Zack Sabre Jr in what many fans considered a dream match.

Following the show, Danielson provided some clarification on his AEW Collision role, which you can read more about right here.
