Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada have reacted to the announcement of their match for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 later this month.
Stars from the two companies will once again face off on June 25 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
A dream match has now been confirmed for the show, with AEW sharing a graphic for Bryan Danielson vs Kazuchika Okada on social media.
AEW shared a tweet with the following caption:
It’s official! For the first time ever @rainmakerXokada vs. @bryandanielson
Sunday, June 25th at #ForbiddenDoor LIVE on PPV from the @ScotiaBankArena in Toronto, Canada! #AEWxNJPW
Danielson replied to this, tweeting:
BE REAL
Kazuchika Okada also shared the match graphic on Instagram and Twitter.
Believing that the winner of their bout will be able to call themselves the world’s best wrestler, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion wrote:
Let’s see who is the REAL best in the world at Forbidden Door.
It has also been confirmed that Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will have a rematch at Forbidden Door, with Omega’s IWGP US Championship on the line.
Omega notably defeated Ospreay for the title in January at Wrestle Kingdom 17, in a bout which many fans believe will be a match of the year contender at the end of 2022.
A ‘forbidden door’ match has been announced for the June 7 edition of Dynamite, which you can read more about right here.
BE REAL
