Bryan Danielson has called a popular AEW star “next level of great.”
On the October 10 Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland to become the number one contender for Christian Cage’s TNT Championship.
This first time matchup showed just how Swerve fared with another top star in All Elite Wrestling after his recent victory over Hangman Adam Page at AEW WrestleDream.
In a new interview with Jeff Adams of Sports Nightly, Bryan Danielson reflected on his Title Tuesday bout and stated that Swerve Strickland is “next level of great.” He said:
“I also wanna say, so this last Tuesday was the first time I had ever been in the ring with Swerve (Strickland) and I’d watched him wrestling before and he’s just — he’s that next level of great…”
“Seeing him is one thing, being in the ring with him is a completely different thing, but that dude is something special.”
Danielson came up short in his bid to take the TNT Championship against Christian Cage on the October 14 edition of AEW Collision thanks to interference from Ricky Starks.
