Buddy Murphy Vs. Daniel Bryan Announced For WWE Smackdown

Last week on Smackdown, Buddy Murphy took Roman Reings to his limit in the former NXT Tag Team Champion’s debut on the blue brand. This was a show-stealing performance for Murphy, who looked fantastic despite ultimately being pinned by Reigns.

Murphy, who is stuck in the Daniel Bryan & Rowan vs. Roman Reigns storyline has since challenged Bryan to a match next week on Smackdown.

WWE has since gone on to confirm that the match will happen on Smackdown, with fans and critics alike seemingly very exciting for the mouth-watering match that is now just days away.

While Murphy will likely lose again, it is nice to see him being placed in matches where he can shine with WWE’s main eventers. This comes after Buddy did nothing for the first four months after his call-up from 205 Live.

On the matter, WWE.com‘s article had the following to say:

“Last Tuesday night, Daniel Bryan & Rowan forced Buddy Murphy to admit he lied about seeing Rowan at the scene of car accident that nearly maimed Roman Reigns. This Tuesday night, WWE’s Best Kept Secret will look to restore his name against “The New” Daniel Bryan on SmackDown LIVE.

Murphy proved he would not be one to back down when he challenged Bryan to this match over the weekend. Will Buddy be able to get a measure of retaliation after Bryan & Rowan recklessly brutalized him last week?”
