Stephen Amell has confirmed that he will be at an upcoming WWE show, following the actor stating that he was recently working on a WWE project.
During a live signing in early-June, Amell stated that he’s involved in a project with WWE.
While he didn’t reveal the nature of the project, he stated that it would likely come out around the same time as Heels season 2, which will have its premiere on July 28.
Ahead of then, Amell will be at the July 17 WWE Raw taping in Atlanta, Georgia.
Amell took to Facebook to share a GIF of himself from Heels saying:
‘That’s all wrestling is buddy, it’s just stories.’
Confirming that he’ll be at the upcoming show, Amell captioned his post:
Heading to Monday Night Raw in Atlanta on July 17th.
While Amell hasn’t specified the nature of his visit, some have speculated that he could appear on WWE TV to help his friend Cody Rhodes, who is currently feuding with Brock Lesnar.
Wrestling fans will recognise Amell from his several in-ring bouts, with the actor making his in-ring debut teaming with Pac (fka Neville) to defeat Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes (Stardust) at WWE SummerSlam 2015.
It is possible that Amell will just be at the taping to promote the upcoming WWE project… whatever it ends up being.
Amell has ties with both WWE and AEW, with the actor previously sharing a photo of himself and CM Punk following a training session, ahead of the former AEW World Champion’s return to TV.
