Charlotte Flair has revealed her new WWE goal, following her recent SmackDown Women’s Championship victory.

Charlotte won the gold from Ronda Rousey on the December 30 edition of SmackDown, defeating Ronda Rousey for the title in her first match since WrestleMania Backlash in May 2022.

This SmackDown Women’s Title win marked Charlotte’s 14th main roster WWE women’s championship victory.

Interestingly, Charlotte’s father Ric Flair is one of the most decorated names in WWE history, with Ric having a record 16 recognised world title reigns under his belt.

On WWE The Bump, Charlotte revealed that she now wants to surpass her father’s 16 world title reigns.

Admitting that she didn’t care about going for the record until recently, Charlotte said:

“Before I went away for eight months, I always said that I don’t really think about the number and I never really cared about surpassing the number, but here I am now as a 14-time Women’s Champion, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I wanna pass it.’

“I don’t know when, I don’t know how, I mean, I know how I’m going to do it, but I think I definitely want to surpass the number now.”

Ric Flair has confirmed that he will be in San Antonio, Texas for the Royal Rumble premium live event on January 28.

He noted that he and Triple H have made up, after falling out in May 2022.
