Earlier this week, it was revealed that WWE was looking to keep hold of the trademark for the name ‘Chelsea Green’, that she used when she wrestled for the company.
Chelsea Green is, of course, the real name of the IMPACT Wrestling star, who is having issues trademarking her name to use due to WWE having also filed for it.
Green commented on the trademark battle on her Twitter earlier today, saying:
I never thought I’d be in a legal battle for my BIRTH GIVEN name… Going to discuss it on tomorrow’s episode of @GreenWEnvyPod
Chelsea gave WWE a letter of consent for them to file the trademark, that WWE has kept hold of and is using to keep the trademark. That letter is dated from November 2020, before Chelsea was released from the company in April of this year.
